Wow. OTHER HANDS is a fascinating book! I could not put it down; I read it in two days. It seems to have a little bit of everything, so it should attract many different kinds of readers. It is psychological; it is spiritual; it takes place in outer space (which should bring in the Star Wars/ Star Trek crowd); it deals poignantly with grief and loss, power dynamics, and healing. And then we encounter some strange outer space-lings and their "other hands." As I read, I was reminded of the book, 1984, and what can happen when too much science gets in the wrong hands. I love this book because it makes me think. I also am thinking Hollywood because OTHER HANDS would be a fabulous film. I am busy casting it now in my mind's eye with top Hollywood actors.
I plan to buy many copies to use as holiday/ birthday gifts....

A thought-provoking twist on some classic sci-fi themes, with an undercurrent of social commentary. I really could not predict what was going to happen in this book, which makes it much more interesting. I am giving this book to sci-fi fan friends for Xmas..
I read "Other Hands" this weekend. What a creative and well written novel. It is interesting, exciting and captivating, and difficult to put down. It is unique, in drawing from the author's expertise and life experiences to add insight and depth to the dialogue and plot. If you begin reading this book, you won't stop until you've turned the last page.
Other Hands is a well-written, creative and engrossing science fiction thriller, which has a fast-paced plot and a terrific story-line. The author has woven together his knowledge of physics, astronomy, space travel, nano technology, early Christian theology, spirituality, and psychology in a text which ultimately pits the forces of good against those of evil. The novel is also a story of the healing power of love in the face of extreme danger and profound loss. The main protagonists, Jeremy Crane and Sandra Morrison, are compelling individuals, who personify human decency and our capacity for love, but who also must struggle with their own inner conflicts and potential frailties. I hope that the author will write a sequel to this page-turner.
Loved the book. A perfect combination a fun read that keeps you thinking. I really enjoyed it.
Was a very entertaining read
My first reading of "Other Hands" spanned just a few days and I had to stay very focused to keep up with the story line. That is to say as the text unfolds there is a lot to follow on several thematic levels. So much so I look forward to the launch of the author's blog for the opportunity to reveal and connect more dots. In the meantime I will enjoy a second read, and highly recommend "Other Hands" to all.
Fine effort by first-time author. This is not your typical humans-vs-aliens tale. It explores both the high cost of freedom and the false promise offered by an utopian society with neither hate nor love. A quick page-turner that is definitely worth the read.
